A universal bathroom design is fast becoming the design of choice for homeowners who are either building a new home or who wish to renovate their old bathroom area. It was the main bathroom in the house for her and her husband and two adult sons, their only other bathroom was a 2pc in the basement. She loved the understated and simple lines of this classically inspired bathroom with its contemporary styled plumbing fixtures and furniture style vanity. I’m looking forward to meeting this client in person and she’s looking foward to relaxing for a bit, pampering herself in her new bathroom and getting ready to start her next e-design renovation project……the kitchen!
You can see on the design board (2nd photo from top) that not everything illustrated there is seen in the after photos, however, the final choices made were from alternate options provided in the design package, so there is always flexibility of choice offered to the client. Bathroom remodeling, adding contemporary lighting, huge wall mirror and bathroom sink, getting rid of an old vinyl floor and bringing wood into the area turned the modest bathroom into an sophisticated and cozy retreat.
The original bathroom floor tiles have been in extremely bad condition, and the floor was leveled out with a quick dry concrete mix and painted dark gray color. Penny tiled floor is a unique and inventive DIY little bathroom decorating project that price only $ 150. This bathroom also has double sinks on the right hand side with a huge mirror to enhance the actual size of the room. The carpet in the bedroom is also red so I wanted to follow into the bathroom with the same color. Putting red accessories around the bathroom gives the impression the bathroom is red without painting the bathroom red.
This bathroom was hard to photograph to see the whole room but I think you will get the drift of this decorating idea. I love your idea of photocopying designs from a shower curtain to create a coordinated design. The images you have are lovely and do show what you’re talking about on how to give a bathroom a makeover. What a great looking bathroom makeover, and it looks really easy and cost friendly.
